The weird thing about this book is that I remember not wanting to read this book clearly for the reason that it was a classic book, therefore I assumed I wouldn't enjoy it. This must have been my unconscious thought towards all these books - therefore, completely disregarding so many books I could've genuinely enjoy. Much like this one...
Another month has passed still with no sign of lockdown easing any time soon. With tensions high, there was a sense of positivity when the sun shone bright behind the clouds. England was bathed in a warm glow for two weeks - this was the perfect time to read while sunbathing!
While stuck in lockdown and with the sun shining, I decided it was the best time to pick up this book. Having a day off work meant I could focus my full attention on this classic novel.
With lockdown in place and my pile of unread books very close to finished, I thought it was a good time to turn to a book to provide some sort of comfort during this weird time.
