WWW – Wednesday 19th June

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

I am currently reading Shadowws of the Workhouse by Jennifer Worth. This is the second book in the ‘Call the Midwife’ series. The wonderfully written memoir continues the stories of the post-war East End of London. If the first book is anything to go by I’m sure to get more insight into the development of the NHS as well as interesting a memorable stories of people who lived in during that time.

What did you recently finish reading?

Since the last time I wrote a ‘WWW’ I have read through a number of books. Some that I enjoyed and some that were not even remotely fun…

  • ‘The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents’ by Terry Pratchett. I’m yet to review this one, but I did thoroughly enjoy it!
  • ‘The Landlady’ by Roald Dahl. A short story that I came across after reading another review on it.
  • ‘Call the Midwife: A true story of the East End in the 1950s’ by Jennifer Worth. I wrote a review about this book here.
  • ‘The Legend of Ravenstone’ by M.S.Verish. Oh boy was this a book to read. I wrote a review about this one here.
  • ‘Good Omens’ by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimain. One that I absolutely loved. A review is coming up for this one later this week.

What do you think you’ll read next?

As I’ve only just started the Jennifer Worth novel I’m not sure what book I’m going to read next. I have however, recently bought a new version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, I think it might be time to read through that one again.

If there are any recommendations of books you think I should read next let me know!
